Lately at Joe Taylor Restoration, there has been an increased need for biohazard services. That’s never really a good thing considering biohazard situations may include accidents, suicides, homicides, or decomposition after unattended death. It could also include mass trauma, industrial accidents, hoarding, infectious disease contamination, or animal biohazards (ie. feces or blood). Non of which are particularly pleasant. However, Joe Taylor Restoration is well versed in providing biohazard services, and we are glad we can help in these circumstances, particularly when the situation is as difficult and unfortunate as that of a suicide.
Recently, our west coast office responded to a request for emergency biohazard services just hours after a man had committed suicide in his home. The self-inflicted gun shot wound had resulted in blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials. As soon as law enforcement completed their job and the body was removed, Joe Taylor Restoration’s well-trained technicians were able to get to work. Wearing hooded coveralls, protective boots, and using respirators, our technicians performed trauma scene decontamination, disposed of affected and unsalvageable materials, and arranged for the appropriate transport of biohazardous waste.
Joe Taylor Restoration is committed to the very best customer service in every situation. Which, in this case, included rendering biohazard services as quickly as possible with the highest level of sensitivity and professionalism, so that the grieving family did not need to deal with the tragic scene after their loved one’s death. This family was able to return to their remediated home in a timely manner, and were grateful for our efforts, commending us on our “sincerity, thorough work, and professionalism.”
Where there is need for biohazard services, there is often challenging circumstances. Not only are there physical conditions that must be remediated for the safety of the residents, but there is also a myriad of emotions that come into play, especially in tragic cases. The licensed and insured technicians at Joe Taylor Restoration are here to help. No matter what the biohazard incident is, one call will result in the expertise and considerable resources necessary to remedy the situation and restore your property to its original condition.
