Thunderstorms are a way of life in Florida, but even more so in the summer months. With thunderstorms come lightning, and lightning can cause all kinds of problems, including power surges, shockwaves, and of course, fires. Unfortunately, when a lightning strike results in a fire, property owners are left with fire damage from lightning.

Such was the case recently for Pamela, a customer in Tampa, Florida, and Joe Taylor Restoration‘s August Customer Spotlight. Lightning struck Pamela’s house one evening, setting fire to a portion of it. The fire resulted in a good deal of fire damage from lightning, and Pamela reached out to Joe Taylor Restoration’s Southwest Florida Office for help.

The Joe Taylor Restoration crew from Southwest Florida was amazing. They were extremely polite, professional and respectful. The team leader, Mitch, kept everyone on task and us completely informed. Our lightning strike/ fire happened on a Friday evening and Mitch was there at 9am Saturday morning. He made sure our home was secured and a team was there every day from Monday-Friday until the the clean up was complete. We are so grateful for each of them.
