Complete Restoration- Boca Raton, Florida

Many of weekly blogs include information on the importance of employing a reputable, licensed and insured restoration vendor when faced with a water, fire, mold or biohazard disaster in your home or business. A few of the many reasons we focus on this topic is because of the ruinous affects hiring the wrong restoration company can have on your property, on your wallet, and/or on whether or not your claim will be covered by your insurance carrier.

Recently, one of the insurance carriers we work closely with referred us a claim for a family in Boca Raton. Unfortunately, the majority of the house was affected by water damage, including the laundry room, garage, hallway, two bedrooms, several closets, living room, dining room, family room, kitchen and foyer. The homeowner, not knowing what to do in an emergency situation, called another restoration company prior to calling their insurance carrier, who only extracted water from the carpet and wood floors.

Fortunately, this particular company did not do horrible damage to the home. However, they were charging much more  than our comparative pricing and they were not doing a complete restoration job. Therefore, the carrier called us, their preferred vendor, to finish the job and make sure everything was done correctly, avoiding any potential for a mold issue in the future.

We proceeded to remove the floating hardwood floors and baseboards where water damage was sustained, and also remove the built-in cabinets in the living room in order to properly dry the walls and floors. We also brought in several dehumidifiers and over 20 air movers.

At the end of it all, the home was completely dry, and the homeowner was encouraged knowing that the carrier had sent a preferred, licensed, and insured vendor to remedy the situation. In addition, the carrier, knowing the quality of our work, had no problem covering the cost of the homeowner’s water damage claim. In other words, once again, Joe Taylor Restoration’s complete restoration services resulted in a “win- win.”
