Happy Summer! Hopefully, many of you have been or will be traveling, enjoying extra time with kids at home, and/or spending some sunny days on our beautiful Florida beaches.

In keeping with a cheery summer vibe, we’d love to introduce you to Kyle Brownell, a military man who loves the outdoors and grilling. Kyle is the Branch Manager of our Tallahassee Office, and the subject of this Joe Taylor Restoration (JTR) Employee Spotlight.

Kyle started his career with Joe Taylor Restoration (JTR) as a Branch Manager in 2022. Since joining the team, he has jumped in with both feet, training in all facets of the production and administrative sides of the business throughout the 2022 hurricane season. As the hurricane season wound down, he spent a few months in a leadership role assisting the Joe Taylor Restoration Tampa Office, honing the experience needed to launch and operate his own branch.

In the beginning of 2023, Kyle launched his branch of JTR in Tallahassee, Florida with a small team, and is now striving to compete within and outside the organization. The branch is thriving, and as it continues to grow, Kyle is always looking for new tenacious team members to join the team under his leadership.

Kyle is originally from Dallas, Georgia and lived there until he left for the U.S. Army in 2012 as an Air Traffic Controller. He quickly found himself in a leadership position. After serving 5 years in the Army, Kyle left the military and moved to Tallahassee, FL. There, he took an Operations Director position with a finance company and worked for them for 5 years before the company relocated in 2022.

Kyle met his wife right after departing the military, and now they have a young son and are expecting a daughter in November 2023. His hobbies include traveling with his family, playing and watching golf, fishing, and the fine art of grilling.
